The STIHL MS 194 T Petrol Top-Handle Chainsaw is a versatile arborist chainsaw designed for professional tree surgeons who require a powerful yet lightweight machine for a wide range of aerial tree maintenance tasks.

Sitting between the ultra-lightweight MS 151 TC-E and the higher-powered MS 201 TC-M, the MS 194 T offers an excellent balance of performance and handling. It is ideal for pruning, crown lifting, deadwood removal, sectional dismantling and the removal of medium-sized trees.

Powered by a robust 31.8cc STIHL 2-MIX engine, the MS 194 T delivers impressive cutting performance with 1.4kW of power and 1.5Nm of torque, providing a noticeable increase in performance over its predecessor. The engine technology helps reduce fuel consumption and exhaust emissions while maintaining strong power delivery throughout the rev range.

Fitted with a 1/4″ Picco chain, the MS 194 T delivers fast, clean cuts with excellent precision, making it particularly effective for pruning and detailed tree work where accuracy is essential.

Its lightweight top-handle design offers exceptional manoeuvrability when working in the canopy, helping reduce fatigue during prolonged climbing and pruning operations. The compact construction allows arborists to work efficiently in confined spaces while maintaining excellent control.

FEATURES

Side-Mounted Chain Tensioning

The chain can be tensioned and replaced quickly and safely using the side-mounted tensioning system.

Arborist Scabbard

Improved Safety and Convenience. The supplied chain guard attaches securely to the sprocket cover, keeping the chainsaw protected when moving around the worksite or climbing. Designed specifically for professional arborists, the scabbard features attachment eyelets that allow it to be secured to a climbing harness using a rope.

Manual Fuel Pump

The integrated manual fuel pump helps prime the fuel system before starting, reducing the number of pulls required on the starter cord. Simply press the fuel pump several times before starting to ensure fuel is available in the system.

Compensator System

The integrated compensator maintains fuel mixture quality as the air filter becomes dirty.

Tool-Free Fuel and Oil Caps

The practical bayonet-style caps allow the fuel and oil tanks to be opened and closed without tools.

Captive Bar Nuts

The sprocket cover nuts remain attached during maintenance, helping prevent loss when changing chains or servicing the saw.

STIHL ElastoStart

STIHL ElastoStart features a special starter handle with an integrated damping element that absorbs load peaks during starting.

Advanced Four-Channel Technology

STIHL's four-channel cylinder technology improves the flow of the fuel-air mixture into the combustion chamber.

Fold-Out Suspension Hook

Secure Handling in the Canopy. The integrated fold-out hook allows the chainsaw to be easily attached to a climbing rope for lifting into the tree canopy or lowering safely back to the ground.
