The STIHL HTA 86 Cordless Telescopic Pole Pruner is a professional-grade battery-powered pruning tool designed for arborists, grounds maintenance teams, local authorities and orchard managers. Combining impressive reach, precision cutting performance and low-noise operation, it is ideal for maintaining trees in both commercial and residential settings.
Powered by the STIHL ALLPRO/AP System, the HTA 86 delivers strong and reliable cutting performance without the emissions, noise or maintenance requirements associated with petrol-powered alternatives. Its quiet operation makes it especially suitable for use in noise-sensitive environments such as schools, parks, hospitals and residential areas.
Fitted with a 30cm (12″) guide bar and 1/4″ PM3 saw chain, the HTA 86 delivers smooth, low-vibration cutting with excellent precision. It is ideal for pruning branches, removing deadwood, clearing storm damage and maintaining fruit trees.
A key feature of the HTA 86 is its telescopic shaft, which can be quickly adjusted using a practical quick-release mechanism. With an overall length adjustable from 270cm to 390cm, operators can comfortably reach higher branches without the need for ladders in many situations.
The lightweight and compact power head provides excellent balance and manoeuvrability, while the rigid shaft design ensures accurate guidance and cleaner cuts. An integrated branch hook helps remove loose branches and cuttings from the canopy, increasing efficiency during pruning work.
Designed for professional use, the HTA 86 combines durability, comfort and performance, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of tree maintenance applications.
When paired with the recommended STIHL AP 200 P battery, the HTA 86 provides up to 54 minutes of runtime, allowing users to complete substantial pruning tasks on a single charge.

Telescopic Shaft with Quick-Release Clamp
