The STIHL MSA 80 C-B Cordless Chainsaw is a high-performance battery-powered chainsaw designed for homeowners who need more cutting power for demanding jobs around the home and garden. As part of the STIHL AK System, it combines strong cutting performance with the convenience, low maintenance and quiet operation of battery power.
Fitted with a 35cm (14″) guide bar, the MSA 80 is ideal for cutting firewood, pruning branches, woodworking projects and felling small trees up to approximately 25cm in diameter. Delivering 30% more power than the STIHL MSA 70 while adding only a small increase in weight, it offers an impressive balance of performance and manoeuvrability.
The powerful brushless EC motor delivers performance comparable to both the STIHL MSA 160 battery-powered chainsaw and the STIHL MS 162 petrol chainsaw, making it a capable and versatile choice for regular property maintenance.
Designed with user comfort in mind, the MSA 80 features an improved ergonomic rear handle with STIHL’s Ergo Lever system, allowing comfortable operation across a variety of cutting angles. The variable-speed trigger provides precise control over chain speed, making it easier to work safely and accurately around shrubs, fencing, garden projects and timber preparation tasks.
Practical features such as tool-free chain tensioning, a transparent chain oil tank and tool-free oil filling make day-to-day operation and maintenance straightforward. For optimum performance, the STIHL MSA 80 should be used with the AK 30 S battery.
