The STIHL MSA 160 Cordless Chainsaw is a lightweight chainsaw designed for property maintenance, pruning, firewood preparation and light timber processing. Featuring a 30cm guide bar, 1/4″ PM3 saw chain and quiet battery-powered performance, it delivers clean, precise cutting for domestic and professional maintenance tasks.
The STIHL MSA 160 Cordless Chainsaw is a compact yet powerful battery-powered chainsaw designed for a wide range of maintenance tasks around homes, estates and worksites. Part of the STIHL ALLPRO/AP System, it combines excellent cutting performance with low weight, low noise levels and exceptional ease of use.
Fitted with a 30cm (12″) guide bar and 1/4″ PM3 saw chain, the MSA 160 delivers clean, precise cuts and smooth cutting performance. It is ideal for pruning branches, preparing firewood, woodworking projects and processing timber, as well as felling small trees up to 20cm in diameter.
Powered by a 36V lithium-ion battery, the MSA 160 offers quiet operation that makes it particularly suitable for use in noise-sensitive areas such as residential gardens, schools, parks and public spaces. The low noise output also contributes to a more comfortable working environment.
The chainsaw features an ergonomic control handle for improved comfort and control across a variety of cutting positions. A variable-speed trigger system allows users to adjust chain speed precisely to match the cutting application, providing excellent versatility when working with different materials.
Maintenance is quick and straightforward thanks to STIHL Quick Chain Tensioning, which allows the saw chain to be adjusted without tools. A transparent oil tank provides clear visibility of chain oil levels, helping to ensure optimum lubrication and efficient operation during use.
