The STIHL HLA 56 Cordless Long-Reach Hedge Trimmer is a lightweight cordless long-reach hedge trimmer designed for maintaining taller hedges and shrubs around the garden. Featuring a 45cm adjustable cutter bar, detachable shaft and quiet battery-powered performance, it delivers precise cutting results while making hard-to-reach hedge maintenance easier.
The STIHL HLA 56 Cordless Long-Reach Hedge Trimmer is the ideal solution for homeowners who need extra reach when maintaining tall hedges, shrubs and screening plants. Part of the STIHL AK System, it combines lightweight handling, cordless convenience and excellent cutting performance to make garden maintenance simpler and more comfortable.
With an overall length of 210cm, the HLA 56 allows users to trim higher hedge tops and wider hedge sides without the need for ladders in many situations. Its lightweight, well-balanced design helps reduce fatigue during longer trimming sessions.
The hedge trimmer is fitted with a 45cm (18″) double-sided cutter bar featuring specially designed droplet-shaped blades. These blades guide branches into the cutting teeth for a clean, even finish and precise cutting performance on ornamental hedges and shrubs.
For maximum versatility, the cutter head can be adjusted through 135°, from -45° to +90°, making it easy to tackle hedge tops, sides and difficult angles while maintaining a comfortable working position.
The HLA 56 is powered by a quiet 36V lithium-ion battery, making it ideal for use in residential gardens and other noise-sensitive environments. The battery is interchangeable with other tools in the STIHL AK System, including chainsaws, grass trimmers, leaf blowers and lawn mowers.
For transport and storage, the shaft can be detached, reducing the carrying length to just 115cm. A storage bracket is also included for neat wall-mounted storage when the tool is not in use.
Cannot be used with Kombi attachments, HTA 50 pole pruner, RTS harness or HTA 50 shaft extension.
Recognised for its excellent performance and usability, the HLA 56 received a 5-star rating and “Highly Recommended” award from Trusted Reviews.
Please note that the HLA 56 is available as a set with a AK 20 battery and AL 101 charger, or as a HLA 56 tool only without battery and charger.
