The STIHL FSA 400 Cordless Clearing Saw is an exceptionally powerful professional brushcutter designed for demanding vegetation management, grounds maintenance and forestry applications. Part of the STIHL ALLPRO/AP System, it delivers performance comparable to a petrol clearing saw whilst benefiting from low noise operation, reduced vibration and cordless convenience.

The STIHL FSA 400 Cordless Clearing Saw is the first battery-powered clearing saw in the STIHL range, delivering outstanding cutting performance for professional users working in landscaping, grounds maintenance, vegetation management and forestry applications. As part of the STIHL ALLPRO/AP System, it combines the power of a professional petrol machine with the advantages of battery technology, including lower noise levels, reduced maintenance and zero direct emissions.

Designed for tackling demanding clearing work, the FSA 400 is ideal for cutting tough grass, dense vegetation, scrub, brambles and small trees. With performance comparable to the STIHL FS 411 C-EM petrol clearing saw, it provides the power required for intensive commercial use whilst remaining suitable for work in noise-sensitive locations.

The ergonomic bike handle design supports efficient sweeping movements when clearing larger areas, helping reduce operator fatigue and increase productivity. A folding clamp mechanism allows the handle to be adjusted quickly to suit different users and working conditions.

Powered by a high-performance EC motor, the FSA 400 features three speed settings that allow performance to be matched to the application. Intelligent speed management automatically adjusts RPM depending on the cutting attachment being used, helping maximise both cutting performance and battery efficiency.

Built for professional daily use, the FSA 400 incorporates a durable 28mm aluminium shaft, robust battery housing and an easy-to-clean metal air filter that helps maintain optimum motor cooling. Combined with the STIHL anti-vibration system, weather-resistant IPX4 construction and STIHL Connected compatibility, this clearing saw is engineered to perform reliably in demanding working environments.

Supplied as standard with the STIHL AutoCut 46-2 mowing head and ADVANCE PLUS universal harness, the FSA 400 also supports a wide range of mowing heads and metal cutting attachments, making it a highly versatile tool for professional vegetation management.
