Eliet has introduced the innovative “Vertical Belt Tension” system, where a lever linkage lifts the engine bedplate to apply tension to the belt, preserving its natural shape and greatly extending its lifespan. The design ensures that only the inside of the belt contacts the pulleys, preventing outside wear and reducing the frequency of belt replacements on professional Eliet dethatching machines. Additionally, Eliet guarantees that their Permanently Sharp Blades™ remain sharp even after over 100 hours of use, as the front wheel depth adjustment alone cannot fully wear down the entire blade length; hence, the E750 model includes a rear wheel depth adjustment for more precise control.

The working depth usually remains around 2 mm. At this speed, minimal braking force is applied to the blades, allowing them to operate at full capacity and effectively lift moss and thatch from the lawn surface. Since the blades do not cut through the roots, this method significantly shortens the lawn’s recovery time after dethatching. Precise depth control is essential, which is achieved through a highly adjustable depth setting. The E501 PRO features large wheels with lightweight aluminium rims and durable natural rubber treads, allowing it to smoothly traverse lawns. Each wheel is fitted with two sizable ball bearings, ensuring robustness in dusty conditions. The broad tread reduces the likelihood of wheel ruts on wet grass, and during spring dethatching on marshy lawns, the moss can cling to the wheels, causing the machine to bounce and affecting the raking quality. The broad rubber safety shield at the back of the machine captures all dust, sand, and stones kicked up by the blades.
