Blade cartridges available

Free Swinging Blades – The free-swinging rotor cartridge is a reliable and highly recommended tool for scarifying your lawn, featuring 30 blades arranged on three rods with a 10mm gap between rows for thorough coverage. The blades are designed with a fish tail shape to effectively remove thatch and moss, and their hardened steel construction ensures durability and longevity even after extensive use.

Verticutter Blades – The verticutter, often referred to as the grooming reel, is primarily used for clearing lawns of weed grasses. Its blades are 1mm thick with nine tips each, arranged in a staggered pattern on horizontal rods to maximize ground coverage, with more blades than a standard scarifier. Designed to operate just above the thatch layer, it effectively removes weed grasses and seed heads like annual meadow grass, helping to prevent thatch buildup and encouraging the growth of finer, denser grasses. Additionally, it can be used before mowing to lift the grass, resulting in a more even and tidy appearance.

Spring Rake – This cartridge features free-swinging spring tines similar to those on a manual lawn rake, effectively removing thatch while being gentle on the turf. It’s perfect for regular, light scarification to maintain a well-manicured lawn.

Fixed Blades – For lawns where slitting is required. This cartridge features sturdy, 2mm-thick blades designed for deep scarifying, making it ideal for lawns in very poor condition. The blades have multiple extra holes and are supported by three additional rods to prevent movement and keep them securely fixed. They are crafted from hardened steel to ensure durability and effective performance.

Renovation Blades – It is intended for use on an old lawn that requires complete renewal. The blades, which are 2mm thick, are arranged on a central rod in an alternating pattern, each featuring three tips: one straight, one angled left, and one angled right to optimize coverage. They include a series of extra holes and are secured with three additional rods to prevent movement and ensure they stay firmly in place. The cartridge comes equipped with bearings, bearing carriers, and pulleys to facilitate quick and easy switching between different blades.

‘Stay Sharp’ Blades – This is intended for tasks that exceed the capabilities of other cartridges and blades. The ‘Stay Sharp’ cartridge features ultra-durable blades crafted from 3mm-thick Swedish Hardox® steel, making it ideal for the most challenging scarifying tasks that other cartridges can’t handle. These blades are the thickest and most robust we offer, designed to swing freely and equipped with pointed tips to withstand harsh conditions while maintaining their sharpness for extended periods. Mounted on three rods with spacers, and arranged in an alternating pattern, they ensure optimal coverage and performance during demanding jobs.
