Description
The single plough is suitable for ploughing previously cultivated ground and is ideal for “wintering over” once the crop has been lifted.
Features
The single plough is similar to a traditional plough in that it has a single solid mouldboard tipped with a ploughshare, which rolls the soil up and off to the right hand side. In front of the mouldboard is a coulter, or knife, which cuts the soil first.
The digging depth is easily adjustable by rotating the Y-shaped lever to raise or lower the plough and at the end of each row the plough can be easily pivoted so that the operator is working in a single furrow.
This plough relies on the traction of the power unit to pull it through the ground and therefore the optional spade lug wheels can be very beneficial for providing additional traction. Wheel weights are also available as an option.
