The STIHL BT 131 is a professional-grade petrol earth auger designed for fast, efficient drilling in horticultural, agricultural and construction applications. Powered by a robust STIHL 4-MIX® engine and equipped with the STIHL QuickStop drill brake, it delivers outstanding performance, safety and operator comfort when installing fences, planting trees or creating foundations.
The STIHL BT 131 Petrol Earth Auger is a powerful single-operator drilling machine built for demanding professional use in landscaping, agriculture, forestry and construction.
Designed to make ground drilling faster and more efficient, the BT 131 is ideal for creating holes for fence posts, tree planting, groundwork installations and point foundations. Its high-torque STIHL 4-MIX® engine provides excellent drilling performance while combining the advantages of both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine technology.
For enhanced operator safety, the machine is equipped with the innovative STIHL QuickStop drill brake. If the drilling tool becomes jammed in the ground, the brake activates automatically via the release lever and stops the drill within a fraction of a second.
The BT 131 also features a simplified starting procedure, making operation straightforward and reducing downtime on site.
A large support cushion comes fitted as standard, allowing the machine to rest comfortably against the operator during drilling. Combined with the stable low-vibration frame handle, this helps improve control, reduce fatigue and support precise drilling even during extended periods of use.
The generous 0.7-litre fuel tank provides long runtimes between refuelling stops, helping maintain productivity on larger jobs.
A wide range of STIHL auger bits and drilling tools are available separately, allowing the BT 131 to be adapted for a variety of drilling applications and ground conditions.
